Need Help Interpreting A Dream Of Being Shot In The Head...?

Every so often, starting about a year ago, I have the same recurring dream, normally for three consecutive nights, of being shot in the head. These are lividly constructed, almost tangible experiences which leave me feeling disturbed for the rest of the day. I always see the shot coming, in one instance it occurred in slow motion. I feel a hard impact, my neck kicks back and a numb paralysis spreads throughout my body, one time I oddly felt the bullet rattle in the back of my throat-like it had hit a hard surface. I never die, there is no blood-and I’ve only stayed asleep long enough to lay there and think. This morning I had a dream of being shot, however I think it may be connected to a noise I’ve heard since I’ve been awake-a loud booming (another mystery.) In the dream I heard the boom and scrambled to get out of bed, but once-twice-three times failed and feel helplessly back. This was all preceded by some bizarre dream of sitting down with my great grandmother (who is still alive), however it was some woman I’ve never seen but labeled as her, and awkwardly talking about how she yearly anointed her dead husband's body at his grave, ociated to Christ. Strange craziness! Any answers?
